“Fashion Plates” is an extension of the series "Rooted" which deals specifically with intra-sexual repression and enforcement. Found china plates, saucers and platters are manipulated into stages where women play out their dark impulses with a humorous violence, their devious deeds integrated into the original patterns of the plates.

This work is on-going. A new piece is created when the perfect found plate presents itself. As of September 2016, there are approximately 20 altered china plates completed.
